Have any of you read the Horus Heresy series of novels?

The guys at the Belll of lost souls website like the horus heresy setting so much that they have done a rules set to cover this famous period in warhammer history.

You can play as one of the chaos space marine chapters before they turned to choas.....They even have stats for the Emperors Adeptus Custodes.

Here is the link to the rules:

The only rule is they would need to be armies that would normally ally in terms of background - but certain exceptions could be made in certain circumstances.

With the new edition for 40K being released soon (I've pre-ordered my Gamer's Edition! Have you?) many folk are seeing this as the perfect time to start a new army! Myself included.

I then thought this would be a great time to see if a small competition could be held (usual rules: prizes = bigheadedness) to see who could get the best Combat Patrol force done. Form 3: The Gamer's Edition

My preference would be the Gamer's Edition, its the same price as the Collector's Edition - but you get templates, counters and a big metal tin (which is apparently foam-lined, so it can be used for models too!). Not ...
