| now that i ha\/e a sorce book (thank you stuart) i am now taking names and charatcers for the new deathmatch i am making. we will keep it around 6-8 players and me acting as ref (trust me youll need one) i will be making the characters, though you will get to choose what profession you want but i will randomly determine the type. for example if you wanted an inquisitor then ill randomly choose the type, either acolyte, inquisitor or lord. i ha\/e a couple of names down who are intrested but im going to do a first come first ser\/e to fill the rest of the places. so if you want to play i would post/pm/talk to me a soon as possible. note: if this goes extremely well then i might set up a tournament/league with different style games, can anyone say capture the flag? _________________ ʎәႨpɹɐʎ ʇʇoɔs ɹәpɐәႨ qnႨɔ/ɹәqɯәɯ ɯɐәʇ әɯɐƃ ʇʇo ¿ʍou ɹoɹǝdɯǝ-poƃ ɹnoʎ s,ǝɹǝɥʍ

| Here's mine. Broodlord Description: It's a broodlord! WS = 120 BS = 0 S = 200 T = 150 I = 100 Wp = 90 Sg = 50 Nv = 100 Ld = 90 Equipment Biomorphs (see special rules) Carapace Armour (full body) Special Rules Ambidextrous Terrifying Acrobatic Dodge Furious Assault Nerves of Steel Psychic Resistance (counts as Hexagrammic Ward) Biomorph weapons The broodlord's rending claws count as a pair of lacerators. The broodlord is unable to drop these or pick up any other weapon and suffers no penalties for using both at once in a close combat. In any situation where they would normally be destroyed (e.g. parrying a power sword), the broodlord instead takes damage equal to the base damage of the weapon to whichever hand it was parrying with. |

| well anyway i might still stick with the death match idea but ill run the campaign for starters. Stuart would i be able to borrow the Inquisitor book again if possible? and if you have story written up, could you email it to me? this is so i can start the campaign and follow the story in honor of the creator of it . but other than that, all the players are left to the mercy of me. oh this will be fun _________________ ʎәႨpɹɐʎ ʇʇoɔs ɹәpɐәႨ qnႨɔ/ɹәqɯәɯ ɯɐәʇ әɯɐƃ ʇʇo ¿ʍou ɹoɹǝdɯǝ-poƃ ɹnoʎ s,ǝɹǝɥʍ

| Just download it from www.games-workshop.comGo to specialist games -> inquisiter -> inquisiter resources. It's in 2 parts. The errata is there too as well as a curious document about the overpoweredness of space marines...

| Great ideas for achievements btw. Just one question. What do the Gs mean? Are we doing a currency or XP system? Or just points? As for my ideas, how about It takes two to takedown Kill an enemy in close combat who has been knocked prone by a teammate in the same turn. or Slow and steady pwns your face Kill an enemy on a turn you roll only one action. |

| weakness to flames gives it a weakness. a genestealer is on par with a space marine but for something thats the equivelent of a terminator in combat well i thought it would make sence to to that. Remember a space marines 15 points and a brood lord is roughly 100 points |

| Guys, Here’s my very first attempt at a character generation: Enforcer MacSver: WS 76 BS 65 S 70 T 90 I 72 WP 72 SG 70 NV 80 Ld 90 Speed: 5 Ranged weapons: Bolas Launcher Close combat: Power Halberd. Equipment: Carapace armour, open helmet. Bionic pair of legs (advanced). Cyber mastiff Displacer field. Special Rules: Ambidextrous First Strike Force of Will Dodge What do you think? I’m a total noob at Inquisitor (and the 40k universe) but I’ll give it a go. _________________ Tim McDowall

| Whoa! First off, take out the displacer field. An item that rare when you already have dodge and advanced bionics is just overkill for any character. Also, 90 toughness is almost superhuman, and certainly over the stats of an inquisitor lord, so unless you genuinely did roll that, consider toning it down to about the 55-65 level. Apart from that, I like what you've done, but bear in mind that the power halberd will be at a serious disadvantage during a long combat. | The good people who made the Inquisitor rulebook wrote: | "a character with a weapon of Reach 4 or higher who is not fighting at arm's length and this is not the first round of a combat counts as having an improvised weapon (they can only use the spear haft, etc)."
|
The halberd dishes out serious damage, but you're going to have to rely on entering a combat you feel confident you can win without getting bogged down.

In answer to Chris' point
| Quote: | Remember a space marines 15 points and a brood lord is roughly 100 points
|
An inquisitor lord worth roughly 15 times the points of a space marine would kill said space marine easily in a game of 40K, but an inquisitor lord fighting a space marine in a game of Inquisitor is going to have his arms ripped off one by one and fed to him. Slowly. |

| Thanks for the feedback. I'll dump the displacer field then. I only added that on to see what I could get away with - it wasn't on my first try anyway. Toughness will be toned down as suggested. I'll give the Power Halberd a try. It's my kinda' weapon None of that long range stuff _________________ Tim McDowall
